Y’all I’m still doing December Daily, I can’t believe it! In all honestly though, I’m rather enjoying taking a little time out each week to work in this little book. It’s been stress-free and I’m absolutely loving how all of my pages are coming out! Even if I’m not really telling a story–cause let’s be honest, my December has been pretty boring–I’m still enjoying the process of creating these pages.

For this first two-pager, I dug into the new kit from Suse Fish because I couldn’t resist not using that beautiful floral bunch paper! It took me awhile to decide if I even wanted to cover it up with something because it’s so pretty. Eventually I settled on a delicate white doily, a Kikki K kitty, and a short title I whipped up by combining all the different words from Suse’s kits.
On the opposite page, I turned one of the personal-sized planner pockets into a sequined pocket page, simply by sewing through the center with my sewing machine. I made a little random sequin mix for the bottom pocket and even included a few of those wood veneer snowflakes. Then I printed a photo of the rag dolls I had made just to finally include it into my book.

One thing I love about clear pockets are the “windows” they create when you use bits like sequins to fill them. I like being able to see a peek of whatever’s behind it. So of course, I had that with this pocket. I simply backed my photo with one of my favorite pattern papers from The Fairytale Club and layered a few bits from Suse’s kits on top.
The next page I kept rather simple. I added some white ink splatters and used one of Suse’s journal cards as my focal point. I love currently cards like this. They have me stop and jot down all the things I’m currently loving/reading/watching/etc. At the time I filled this out, I was watching Love Actually–I probably watched it at least three times this week–because I love it so much. I’m not much for Christmas movies, but Love Actually isn’t really a Christmas movie, it’s just set during Christmas. Kind of like Serendipity. It kind of has that same early-2000s vibe. Anyway that was the first bit I wrote down and probably the most important.

Speaking of Love Actually, I even included the quote that begins the entire movie in my book! I’m not kidding when I say I watched this film three times this week–cause I totally did. I love the Liam Neeson storyline; it’s bittersweet and totally cute. Bill Nighy is a total riot in this film too. I love him. And if I’m completely honest, I rather enjoy British films. Personally whenever I watch one, I’m always amazed at how many great British actors were in Harry Potter, cause in any British movie I watch there’s at least one HP actor in it.
The following page is another art journal page I did for my Get Messy tutorial. I decided this was the perfect spot for it, so I included it here.

I ended up backing my art journal page with this pretty Suse Fish paper. I love the colors of this festive page! And if I’m frank, I don’t think this page is completely finished. I may have to go back and add something to it, but for now I left it as it it. Because on the opposite I mounted a lovely card from Suse onto a bit of Felicity Jane packaging because I wanted the card in my little book. That gold glitter star is also from Suse’s package. She jotted a little note on the back of it, so of course it had to go in too! I love have little sentiments like these in my book. I did something similar with some gifts my friends gave me the first time I attempted a December Daily. It’s always nice to look back on these simple things.

For this last spread, I went rather green. This week was really a struggle for me. I was insanely hormonal and very emotional. It was like the case of the blahs times a thousand. I felt so down and out. I don’t like wasting an entire week, but sometimes the week must be wasted. At least I finally got to put those Felicity Jane Brooke pieces to use!
