Well, I totally did it again. I worked on my December Daily week three pages all in one go. I’ve realized–well, I should say, I’ve known–that these daily documenting projects are not entirely for me. I always struggle with December Daily because I don’t get around to doing very much in December. But on the flip side, working in a little book like this in this way does get me creating more often than I would throughout the month.
I also like these little sessions of playing. I managed to get three spread done in my book before I felt lost as to what to do next. It happens. You can have creative inspiration for doing one or two things, then nothing else. It’s okay. I’m just glad I was able to get these memories down before that happened!
My family got together last Sunday for a little brunch gathering at my uncle’s house in New Jersey, in honor of my grandmother who passed away in November. It was really nice hanging out with almost all of the family like that. I took my new camera with me in order to play around with it and figure out what works–you know as one would after getting a brand new camera–and I managed to capture a few moments that were worthy of inclusion in my book.
This photo of some of my cousins sitting together on the stairs was my favorite photo of the bunch, so I decided to use it to document that day. I ended up journaling a lot to really get it all down.
Anyway, I hope your December documenting is going well and that you enjoy the process of me creating these pages!
