It’s December Daily time!
I have been looking forward to December Daily since early August. I suppose when you’re in quarantine there’s not much else to look forward to, so you start brainstorming early!
I went small again for this year’s book. My book is roughly 4×6 and this size is perfect for me. I initially wanted to do an altered book, but I remember my little coptic stitch book from last year and how it got so incredibly chunky, that I decided to go for the same size but do pretty white metal rings instead. I went with a bright, fun, pastel color scheme this year, and put together a kit combining a whole heap of products.
The cover of my book I made out of chipboard wrapped in this fun bubblegum pink fabric with white snowflakes all over it. It’s absolutely perfect. For my pages, I repurposed some inserts from my coptic stitch book that I had to take out of my book last year, so they are an assortment of papers from Crate Paper’s Snowflake and Snow & Cocoa collections. I did add in some papers from some old Suse Fish kits.
For my kit, I pulled together bits of my Crate Paper Snowflake and Snow & Cocoa stash, along with some new bits I got this year. I have the lovely journaling cards from Suse’s Pink Christmas kit and a variety of pieces from the Felicity Jane Coco kit. I also received the most generous package from Kelly Purkey, with things from her rebranded Paper Person Shop. I’m really excited to use some of these products I’ve gathered together. Hopefully I can add most of this little kit into my little book!
I’m taking the same approach as I did last year. I’m hoping to create a spread a day in my book and keep the process light and fun. I’m thinking of taking a more scrap therapy approach, especially on days where I don’t have much of a story or event to tell. I’m excited for this project and hopefully I can film a lot of it throughout the month.
Anyway, here’s a more in depth look at my little mini book and the little kit I put together for the month of December. I hope you enjoy! Are you planning on doing a December Daily this year?
