Hi everyone! I’m back today with a simple planner decorating project for the Hip Kit Club. I used my October kits to decorate my monthly spread for the month of November. For this spread, I tried to use as much left over paper scraps from my layouts that I had lying around. Since planner decorating is on the small scale side, all of your left over scraps can be put to good use! I covered the top of my monthly pages with a strip of that black polka dot paper, then used some scraps of that foiled arrow paper from Simple Stories Posh collection layered on top. Since it was a weird shaped scrap, all I did was tear the paper and cut it down to size. I love the scrappy look it gives my spread. I then used the pink puffy alphas exclusive to the kits to spell out my “November” title.
On my sidebar, I used some scraps of that beautiful Dear Lizzy paper from the Saturday collection with all the buildings and layered a few of them that I cut out to fill in that sidebar. With some other leftover scraps, I made a few banners and boxes to fit into my calendar, just to add a bit of those pattern papers about my monthly. I added a few embellishments and finished off the spread with the Jen Hadfield gold foil rub ons. I though that “Thankful” rub on was perfect for Thanksgiving weekend and to balance it off, I also used one of the foliage ones on the top of the opposite page. This decorating was super simple and I love how my monthly came out!
