I’ve been on a scrapbooking kick these past few days. I’ve made quite a few pages in my Felicity Jane Scrap Therapy binder and have made a couple of layouts as well. I posted this particular “scrap with me” layout this past Friday, but never shared it here except for adding it to my gallery. So here’s a 12×12 layout I did of my dog Joey. I made it to match a 12×12 pocket page layout I did of him for my upcoming Big Picture Classes class…yes, I’m creating another class for BPC. This one is on pocket pages and I’ll share more of that when the time comes (it’s been crunch time to finish the class, which it due next week.)
Anyway, I used mostly the Cocoa Vanilla Studio More Than Words collection. I love this collection! I wish I had bought more of the 12×12 papers instead of just the cut apart sheets and the 6×6 paper pad, because it’s just so beautiful! And I absolutely love how this layout turned out, especially considering I attempted watercoloring on the background and it didn’t really go so well. I did manage to salvage my mixed media mess, but still. I don’t know what it is with mixed media and scrapbook layouts that just never go right for me. It seems so easy to play with all the wet media in my art journals, but on a layout it’s a completely different story. Still, this layout came out alright.
I did film a video of my process, which you can view below. I’m trying to create the habit of getting more of my processes on camera for my channel, which can be hard when I prefer to craft more so at night when it’s not particularly ideal to film. Hopefully, I’ll have a few more up soon (I have another process coming this Friday actually). So stay tuned!
