I’ve been creating a lot of content recently–half of which I haven’t even shared yet. Ever since I put myself on a strict schedule, I’ve found that I’ve been creating a lot more content, both for myself and to share with you. It’s quite amazing how my mind works sometimes. If I leave everything to myself to get done whenever I want, nothing will get done. I will literally waste so much time doing nothing. But if I have a strict schedule I need to follow–even if it’s one that I have to create for myself–I’m more inclined to work and actually create things.
You know that saying “inspiration needs to find you working?” It’s totally true. Since I’ve been creating things I want to share with you on a strict schedule, I’ve found that I’ve been inspired to create other things that I want to create for myself more. Before this self imposed schedule, my creative well was pretty dry. But now, there’s just not enough time in the day to make all of the things I want to make!
With that said, I haven’t been consuming things like I have been. But I still wanted to share some things, so here are a few things I’m currently enjoying for this month:
Reading
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen…or at least I wanted to read this book this month. That was my plan but I haven’t exactly opened it up to begin reading.
Listening
FEVER DREAM by Of Monsters and Men. It has been awhile since Of Monsters and Men put out an album! I’ve had it since it came out in July, but of course I’m just getting around to really listening to it. I love it more than their previous album. It’s a bit lighter and reminds me of their first album, which I love! My favorite song is Vulture, Vulture.
Creating
A scrapbook layout! I haven’t scrapped in such a long time, let alone worked in my 12×12 album. But I had a little spurt of inspiration and actually created a layout for my album. It was so fun and I love how it turned out! It got me back into my album that I’ve even trimmed the photos I had printed and stuffed them into the pockets, so that when I have another urge to scrap, I have photos ready to scrap!
Preparing
My December Daily! I finally got my Crate Paper Snowflake goodies in and I ordered some fabrics to match for my little coptic book cover. I’m torn though as to which one to use! I really like that pink snowflake print, but the pink is too bright and doesn’t go with the collection. So I’m trying to decide between these two solid linens. Decisions, decisions!
Planning
NaNoWriMo, aka National Novel Writing Month. For the entire month of November, I’ll be attempting to write a novel–or 50,000 words–along with thousands of other people all over the world. I absolutely suck at NaNoWriMo, but here’s to trying again this year! Are you participating in NaNo this year? Let me now if you are!
